A while ago, I posted about the Flaming Lips headlining the Pitchfork Music Festival on July 19, in Chicago.
It was initially announced that they would allow fans to vote for a song they would like to see the band play. Then Pitchfork retracted that announcement.
But it seems the Flaming Lips will accept requests after all. I bought my ticket today and voted for "What is the light?" from Soft Bulletin.
Which song would you vote for?

I saw that today and voted as well. You could vote for as many songs as you like, so I checked all of the songs I would like to see which was a lot. I also voted for what is the light too. Some songs like she don't use jelly, yeah yeah yeah, do you realize, and yoshimi I didn't vote for because they always play those songs and I have seen them way to many times.
ReplyDeleteThe cover thing was kind of cool. It was hard to come up with a song though. I saw them in Philly last year and they played song remains the same and 5 completely naked girls come out and danced on stage during the song. I was right next to the stage, so needless to say it was sweet. I decided to pick one of my all time favorites for the cover, loving cup by the stones.
OD, awesome song request! That would be mine too becasue you know everyone else is gonna pick Fight Test, Yoshimi etc.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking about going to Pitchfork but have a wedding the night before so I dunno.
I voted for the to cover "The Washer's Anthem" by D-Box and A-Cup.
ReplyDeleteSweet, I thought you could only vote for one song. I'll probably vote for a couple more then.
